Jun 20, 2012: Ampli2de launches the new UXcamp Ottawa 2012 website
For the past 3 years, Ampli2de&153; has been a sponsor of Ottawa's premier UX conference, and has volunteered hundreds of hours of Cornelius' time to create the event's lineup, brand identity, signage design and produce the participant badges, come up with the revolving presentations etc. This year, we've taken on an additonal role that's closer to our DNA: we've created the new UXcamp Ottawa website ( check it out at http://uxcampottawa.org ).
Following the annual branding update and a move to a new domain name, UXcamp Ottawa was in need of a fresh look that reflects the newfound maturity of of the event. Keynoted by UIE's Jared Spool ( @jmspool ) and fellow San Francisco-based canuck Steve Portigal ( @steveportigal ), UXcamp Ottawa 2012 has attracted instantly recognizable names in the world of UX: Nick Finck ( @nickf, Deloitte Digital / Ubermind, Seattle ), Dana Chisnell ( @danachis UsabilityWorks, Boston ), Jess McMullin ( @jessmcmullin, CitizenExperience, Edmonton), Jessica Ivins ( @jessicaivins, Happy Cog, Philadelphia ), Shai Idelson ( @shaidelson, Sid Lee, Montreal ), Derek Featherstone ( @feather, SimplyAccessible, Ottawa ), Jeff Parks ( @jeffparks, Digia UX, Ottawa ) etc. Ampli2de put its best foot forward to create a Wordpress customization that includes a full-width responsive layout which will make the UXcamp site accessible on all devices, from small-screen smartphones to 30-inch monitors.
